Tiffany Bautista of Paramus Catholic made history and joined a short list of triple winners at Saturday's Meet of Champions at Northern Burlington High School in Columbus.

Bautista, a junior, became the first girl to ever win both the high jump (on misses at 5-10) and triple jump (40-2) at the same M of C,  and also anchored the winning 4x100 (NJ #1 47.17) and placed third in the long jump (a PR of 19-2 1/2).

The only athlete in meet history to win more gold medals at single meet is Olivia Baker of Columbia, who won the 100, 200, 400 and anchored the winning 4x400 in 2013.

"It's pretty incredible to come to a meet like this with all the best athletes in the state and win three times,'' said Bautista. "I give all the credit ot my teammates in the 4x100. They gave me the lead and I just had to bring in it. And to win the high jump and triple jump and going back and fourth between all my events was tiring, but it's s worth it because I just love to compete as much as I can. ''
