The 30th annual meet is set to go on a bright sunny day here at Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield.

Start time is 9 a.m. 

I will be trackside to give you updates all day, so keep checking back here for the latest.

Highlights will be down below, and more coverage will be added later.

8:45 a.m. I am trackside here next to the world famous Styler Timing truck at Kehler Stadium. Great day to run, throw, and jump. About 50 degrees and sunny here. Should be some hot times!!!  Meet director Chris Tafelski promised a fater meet this year. The over under is 3:00. I'll take the over. 

8:50 a.m. Have to give a shout out to the Von B Brothers for getting this party started with a great playlist ovet at the long jump. Lots of Michael Jackson stuff blaring over the loudspeaskers here. Well done, Von B's!!!!!!!! 

9:05 a.m. The girls shuttle hurdles are up first. Union Catholic is in the first heat. UC should roll.

9:07 a.m. UC, with Amaya Chadwick splitting 14.0 to blast out to a huge lead on the opening leg, wins easy in  a NJ #1 1:02.74, just off the meet record of 1:02.29 set by Franklin in 2012. It's great to see Chadwick back on the track. She missed most of indoors with hammy, but is 100 percent now and ready to rip. 

9:12 a.m. Westfield's hurdle crew is in state championship form today. Well done, Coach Tafelski

9:20 a.m. Boys shuttles are up.

Rahway rolls in the first heat in 59 point. Rahway wins in a NJ # 2 59.73. Ola Akande led off in 14.5 for Rahway and Brian Diaz ran a 14.6 for Rahway.

9:32 a.m. Girls 4x100 is on deck. UC girls could challenge the meet record of 48.48 set in3012 by Union.

9:35 a.m. UC makes it 2 for 2 and just missed the meet record with another NJ #1 48.69!!!  

9:42 a.m. Here comes St. Peter's Prep in the boys 4x100. These guys came here to run fast!

9:44 a.m. St. Peter's Prep gets what it came for, winning the 4x100 in possibly a sub 43 time. Waiting on the official time. 43.00 is the official winning time for St. Peter's..

9:50 a.m. Frosh/soph 4x100's are next.

9:53 a.m. Old Bridge wins girls frosh/soph 4x100 in 54.13. Union wins boys frosh.soph 4x100 in 46.94.

10:01 a.m. The inaugural Jack Martin Invitational Miles are next. Martin was a legendary XC and track and field,coach for several decades here at Westfield  

10:08 a.m. Cynthia Boryeskne of Edison wins the girls mile in 5:13.79. FAT splits courtesy of Tim Styler-1:16.577, 2:42.090, 4:03.94 

10:16 a.m. Cyril Harvey of Old Bridge wins the boys mile with a PR of  4:30.78, a step ahead of Steven Payne of Woodbridge, second in 4:31.18.  Harvey's FAt split- 68.073, 2:17.788, and 3:27.129   

10:18 a.m. Girls DMR is up now. Meet record is 12:21.91 by Summit in 2011.

Leena Morant leads off for UC with a 3:50.1 1,200 leg to give the Vikings are big lead. Khamil Evans follows with a 57.7 400 for UC. Zamira Yssac then went 2:21.7 for 800, and Jerika Lufrano anchored in 5:17 to give UC the win in a NJ #3 12:27.90.

10:37 a.m. The boys DMR is next.

10:41 a.m. Jonathan Mobisa goes 3:11.9 on the DMR leadoff for Union, a step ahead of Westfield. 

10:47 a.m. Westfield wins the boys DMR in 10:45.49. Westfield splits are 3:12.3 for Matt Meusel, 52.9 for Jackson O'Brien, 2:04.9 for Cooper Brennan, and 4:33.8 for Spencer Weigand..

10:50 a.m. Girls 4x200 is next.

10:54 a.m. Union grabs the quick lead in the girls 4x200 and no one catches the Farmers. Union wins in 1:43.15 11:01 a.m. It's time for the boys 4x20

11:01 a.m. It's time for the boys 4x200. That means its time for St. Peters Prep to blow this place up.

11:06 a.m. ST. PETER'S PREP DROPPED A BOMB-1:27.92!!!! THAT'S NJ #1 as of now!!!! Just missed the meet record of 1:27.5 set by Plainfield in 2009.  St. PETER'S SPLITS-Cameron Blair-22.9. Markus Bagley-21.6, Gus Nations-22.0, and Richie Luzzi-Liggins-21.4.   

11:07 a.m. Union is 2nd in the boys 4x200 in a NJ #3 1:29.39.

11:30 a.m.  Piscataway wins the girls frosh/soph 4x200 in 1:54.33 and St. Benedict's took first in the boys frosh/soph race in 1:35.67.    

11:40 a.m.  Here is update from the Field Events-

Trinity Hart of Scotch Plains leaped a meet best 17-6 1/4 to lead her team to first in the girls LJ with a combined 49-10 1/4.

Westfield wins the girls PV with a combined 24-6. Leah Norton of Westfield had the top vault with a 9-0.  

Samantha Stravach leads Westfield to the team javelin title with a meet best throw and PR of 112-5.

Stacey Saint-Paul (116-11) and Kailah Turner (103-11) had the two best discus throws to lead Rahway to the girls title.  

11:45 a.m. Next up is the Open 800's. Girls first

12:00 p.m. Katelyn Quinn of Gov. Livingston wins the girls 800 in 2:26.47.

12:28 p.m. David Federo of Perth Amboy wins the boys 800 in 1:57.73. Chris Smith of Edison is 2nd in 1:58.78.  

12:45 p.m. Update from the boys field events-

Tyler Costeira of St. Joseph leaped a meet best 21-6 1/2 and Elizabeth captured the boys team LJ with a combined 57-9 1/4.  

Krishna White of Union Catholic had the top jumps of the meet in both the HJ (6-0) and TJ (44-7 1/2). UC won the boys team HJ and Rahway captured the boys TJ.

Brandon Patterson of Union Catholic had top throw in the boys shot with a 54-7 1/2. Westfield captutred the 3-man shot title.  

12:48 p.m. Ruth Louis of Elizabeth edges Julia Csorba of Westfield, 1:07.70 to 1:07.86 in the girls 400 hurdles. Piscataway wins the girls team 400 hurdles in 3:38.11.  

12:51 p.m. Jerrish Halsey of Rahway runs the top 400 hurdle time of the meet with a a PR of 57.32. Scotch Plains win the boys team IH with a combined 2:59.91. 

1:05 p.m. 4x800 are next.

1:15 p.m. Woodbridge wins the girls 4x8 in 9:36.70 with UC second in 9:37.50. Trinity Eason led off for Woodbridge with a 2:19.0 carry. Kaylah Davis anchors the win for Woodbridge. 

1:25 p.m. St. Joseph of Met. wins the boys 4x800 in 8:19.51. 

1:30 p.m. SMR's are next.

1:34 p.m. Westfield, which received a 62.0 from Tani Horton and a 2:32.0 anchor from Mia Melao, wins the girls SMR in 4:29.57. 

1:38 p.m. St. Benedict's wins the boys SMR in 3:36.65. Ronald Kigen anchors for St. Ben's in 1:58.5. 

1:40 p.m. Open frosh/soph 400's are next

1:41 p.m. Girls TJ-Ayanna Henry leads Columbia to the title with a meet best leap and PR of 35-10. Columbia won the event with a 101-2 3/4. 

1:42 p.m. The frosh/soph 400's are still running.

1:58 p.m. 4x400's are on deck,

2:12 p.m. Union wins the girls 4x400 in 4:04.76. Chidumga Nkulume splits 57.9 and Azariah Grantham 59.7 for Union!!!  

2:13 p.m. Update from the boys field events  

Uchenne Duru leads Union Catholic to victory in the discus with a meet best 142-5.

Conor Reilly clears 14-0 to spark UC to victory in the boys pole vault.

Joe San Giacomo throws a meet best 158-4 to lead Westfield to victory in the javelin with a combined 429-3.

2:18 p.m. Rahway's all junior team wins the boys 4x400 in 3:25.06.  Rahway's splits-Ola Akande-52.0, Justin Coelho 52.1, Marvin Polynice 48.2 and Andrew Wright-52.7. Rahway also had a pair of 50 point legs on its other 4x400 team, so there is a chance the Indians can make a run at sub 3:20 time at Penn????

2:20 p.m. Kris Edobi split 49.6 for Union's boys 4x400 team that placed second in 3:25.45.  

2:26 p.m. That's a wrap from Blue Devil Country. Another great meet here at Westfield.

2:27 p.m. Coach Tafelski delivers on the under as the meet ends before 3 p.m.  Well done, Coach Tafelski!!!
