Seth Kricheff of Northern Valley Old Tappan hit a big vault of 14-6 to place second in the pole vault on Friday night at The Armory during the Tim St. Lawrence Invitational.

In the girls pole vault Sydney Woods of Northern Valley Demarest cleared 12-0 for third, looking back at this same meet last year she finished with a height of 9-0 and her previous best was 11-0! The 12-0 height would have been top five in the state for the entire season in 2017.

Union Catholic had their way with things as a team winning nine events between boys and girls! Some highlights include... Jerika Lufrano who won the mile with a solid early season time of 5:16.16... The boys 4x200 meter team ran 1:32.86 to lead the 4x200 meter... Sophomore Elijah Brown won the 400 meter dash with an indoor PR of 50.85, previous best was a 51.32... Justin Cadas took the 1000 meter gold running 2:39.26... Brandon Patterson won the shot put with a mark of 52-01.75, a very solid season opening PR for him with his previous indoor best coming in at 51-3. Patterson exploded for a launch of 57-06.25 last spring, could be a strong season for this senior.

In the boys 4x800 meter relay Pope John XXIII won by nearly 10 seconds with their 8:24.04.

*Revision: After first reporting Seth Kricheff cleared 15-0 based off the results we received a revision, he really cleared 14-6.
