2 First Place Votes / 96 Points / Returning 20:15 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/9 - Randolph Inv. / The 2 time Queens of the MOC lost a lot to graduation, but return a seasoned crew thanks to great depth. Could a 3Peat be in the air?

1 First Place Votes / 90 Points / Returning 20:11 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/9 - Cherokee Challenge / Much like their male counterparts, this year's edition of the Lady Pirates doesn't have a studette (Think Kellners, Rancan, et al) to lead them, but they are solid through #5 (49 sec. 1-5 compression). They may have missed the dance in '16, but are rarin' to go this year.
5
70 Points / Returning 20:17 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/9 - Season Opener Inv. / After a trip to the podium with their 5th place finish in '16 , Can this veteran squad (1 soph) take it a little higher this year? Led by the sub 20:00 Hebner twins (Monica & Isabel) the Highlanders will back them up with a tight scoring group (20:29 avg. / 37 sec gap). Bergen County will be well represented...right Paul?
6
49 Points / Returning 20:19 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/9 - Cherokee Challenge / The Lady Renegades are poised to be the "Queens of the South", and maybe the whole state in '17. Super Soph Isabella Turner (19:45 as a frosh) leads a experienced supporting cast as Shawnee makes their way through the season.
7
38 Points / Returning 20:35 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/9 - Randolph Inv. / The sound you hear may be the return of "The Long Green Train". The returning marks by this team conjure up visions of the '14 MOC Winners. Maddy Kopec and Emily Dunn make a strong 1-2 punch with a scant 6 seconds separating 3-5.
8
35 Points / Returning 20:20 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/15 - Battle @ OCP / Kathleen Shay, Madison Brand and Tess Bizzoso (19:40 avg. 1-3) return to present a 3 headed problem to opponents. 31 seconds separate these 3 ladies who will start scoring off on the low side. If the back end of the pack can tighten things up...Watch Out!
9
34 Points / Returning 20:35 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: N/A / A team that fell a little short in '16, but put together an impressive resume for 2017. Rising Jr. Chantel Osley leads a team that could put themselves in the mix at the Group level. You get there and, who knows?
10
14 Points / Returning 20:21 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/9 - Randolph Inv./ Abby Loveys (Jr) will be followed closely by Rising Sr Brooke Olson as the Rams fight to get beyond the meat grinder that is Group 4 Girls XC and move on the the Promised Land (MOC)
10
14 Points / Returning 20:58 Holmdel Avg. /Opener: 9/9 - Randolph Inv. / Lauren Wagner & Nicole Cassavell make a formidable 1-2 tandem for the Vikings. While they should advance from the Group level, they will start out as, most probably, a Dark Horse for MOC.
