If you haven't heard as of yet, New Jersey's very own Olympian Sydney McLaughlin has been added to a star studded distance medley relay team attempting to take down a world record at the New Balance Grand Prix tonight in Boston, Massachusetts. Her teammates include other big names and fellow Olympians: Emma Coburn, Brenda Martinez, and Jenny Simpson. McLaughlin will be offering her 400 meter talents, an event where she holds a high school national record of 51.84 complimented by a US#2 all-time 300 meter performance of 37.11.

The current world record for the indoor DMR is 10:42.57, set in 2015 at this very meet, and Brenda Martinez returns from that team where she ran 4:27.77 for the 1600 meter leg. FloTrack has put together a great preview on the squad's potential to break the record as well as provide a little background on each of these talented athletes, you can read that feature here

If you are hoping to catch a glimpse of the action the NBC Sports Network will be showing this portion of the meet meet live tonight from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. So you'll have a chance to cheer them on when the DMR takes off at around 5:35 PM.
