Five Things to Look for at This Weekend's NJSIAA Relays

Can the Union Catholic Boys Break "The Bubble" Venue 4x800 Meter Record?

Union Catholic currently US#1 7:55.74 thanks to their Millrose Trials win at the Armory, they are only one of two teams in the county to break the eight minute barrier so far this season. The John Bennett Indoor Complex facility record and overall Group Relays record is 8:03.15 posted by the Morris Hills boys last year at the Group 3 Relays. Can the Union Catholic squad take down that time?

On this track it may come down to if they get help with a fast race and competition pushing the pace. Pope John XXIII and Christian Brothers Academy are ranked second and third in the Non-Public A 4x800 meter with 8:12.81 and 8:14.45 times this season.

Last year when Morris Hills set the current facility standard of 8:03.15 they came into the meet ranked US#1 with a 7:53.62, also ran at the banked Armory Track in New York.
