The Toms River North boys won their second Ocean County title in three years and Southern Regional won their seventh in the past nine indoor seasons.
The major highlight of the meet came in the girls shot put where Alyssa Wilson improved her US#2 all-time spot with a 56-2.5, read more about that performance here. The shot put wasn't done there, Danielle Notarfrancesco of Jackson Liberty went US#4 NJ#2 in second place with a mark of 45-6.5.
In the boys shot put circle Ryan Roger sparked part of Toms River North's 66 point team championship with his first place throw of 55-3.75 NJ#6. Toms River North won three other events on the track including Bryce Watts' 6.55 NJ#5 in the 55 meter, Abdolahe Diawara's 52.79 in the 400 meter, and their relay title in the 4x400 meter running a 3:31.87. Keeping it on the boys side... Point Pleasant Boro's Devin Hart won two individual titles running 4:28.23 in the 1600 meter and 9:36.74 NJ#5 in the 3200 meter. In the hurdles Kishaun Carter of Brick Memorial earned his third straight Ocean County title running 7.73, he already ranks NJ#8 this season at 7.69.
Back to the girls meet, Toms River North's Madyson Reilly posted a second place 5:13.28 NJ#7 and first overall 11:32.89 in the 1600 and 3200 meter. The 1600 meter was won by Southern Regional's Taylor Mulch who clocked in at 5:12.39 for NJ#4 this season, she was also second in the 800 meter with a 2:27.88.
Southern Regional went on to win four other events as well... Morgan Koeppen took the pole vault clearing 9-6... their 4x400 meter won crossing at 4:11.52...
