Donovan Catholic's Alyssa Wilson wasted no time starting her senior season and absolutely destroyed her own New Jersey state record in the shot put, before the finals even took place, with her mark of 55-9.5 US#1. Her previous best and state record was a 54-11 at the 2016 Eastern States Championships.
From there she continued to shine in the weight throw where she launched a 57-5.75 US#2, a PR of almost four and a half feet.
