Group 2 state champion Michael Ungvarsky has signed with Duke University. The news officially broke Tuesday afternoon at his school held signing. He also visited Kentucky and Ole Miss before deciding on Duke.
Ungvarsky is fresh off his Group 2 state cross country title this weekend when we ran 15:58 at Holmdel Park, just a second off his best of 15:57. He also won a state title last spring in his Group 3200m Championship with a time of 9:19, he went on to place 8th at the Meet of Champions the following week with a PR time of 9:11.48. This talent has had multiple Meet of Champions appearances and he'll be making another one this coming weekend at the NJSIAA Cross Country Meet of Champions on Saturday November 19th.
