NJ Recruiting Update | Kishona McCray's Top Five Schools


Here is a top five schools update for senior Kishona McCray of Central High School in Newark, NJ. She is already halfway through her scheduled official visits with the University of Pittsburgh on the map for Friday. McCray has already visited Northern Illinois University and Rutgers New Brunswick, with future plans to travel to Virginia Tech and Purdue University. Thanks to her coach Bruce Berry for the news. 

McCray had a great junior year campaign in 2016 with state championships and personal bests riddled along the way. Her in state season was highlighted by winning the 100 meter hurdles at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions with a personal record time of 14.06. She also finished second in the 400 meter hurdles to Sydney McLaughlin that night with a time of 1:01.12.

From there she continued to excel in the 400 meter hurdles as she finished her season 11th at New Balance Nationals Outdoor running 1:01.04. She is the defending Group 2 Champion in both of the above mentioned events, you can watch her win the 100 meter hurdles at the Group 2 Championships last spring in the video above.
