Drake Anzano of Christian Brothers Academy laid down a great mid-season time in the 3200 meter on Friday. Now ranked NJ#1 with a 9:03.49, Anzano set a clear standard for two milers heading into championship season. The CBA junior also adds to his stock in the 3200 meter event after already establishing himself in the 1600 meter during last year's Meet of Champions when he won with a time of 4:11.36.
Anzano wasn't the only one moving at the Twilight meet however, the 3200 meters at this meet account for the top 11 times in the state so far this season. Jordan Brannan of Colts Neck, Tim Bason of WWP-South, and Zach Michon of Robbinsville among the many talented names battling for the top spots. Brannan was the indoor Meet of Champions winner in the 3200 meter when he ran 9:14.94 at the Toms River Bennett Complex.

The girls side put up some great numbers as well led by Lauren Sapone's 10:46.06, which ranks her NJ#2 so far this season. Normally an 800 and 1600 meter runner in the spring, Sapone showed she has some range on the track as well with this bar set in the 3200.
