CBA after capturing the NXN Title (2011)
If you look below at the returners and their times, CBA at least on paper is your clear favorite entering this cross country season. Their top 7 returners come back with the fastest 5k PRs from last fall and 3200m PRs from this spring. The Colts also bode well in miler speed. Despite losing three of the four members of this past winter's national record setting 4xMile team and losing four of the seven that placed second as a team at NXN this past fall, you can count on Coach Thomas Heath to have another slew of guys ready to step up. Depth. That is what this program is known for. Backed by the leadership of junior Blaise Ferro coupled with many young guys rising up, CBA is yet again a team to be feared. Watch out for this crew in Portland Meadows as they look to bring the national crown that eluded them last year back to Lincroft.
