MileSplit All-Americans (2014 Outdoor)

<p> <span style="font-size: 14px;">The first ever MileSplit All-American Teams for this past 2014 outdoor track & field season are being released this week. The selection process included taking into consideration multiple factors but not limited to: season best performances and national rankings, consistency and body of work, finishes in major championship and post-season meets as well as a head-to-head results against other top national ranked competition in their event were all used to determine the top 8 individuals and relays to make up our All-American squads.</span></p>

The Long Beach Poly (CA) and St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) girls had some historically fast relays this past spring, which we were treated to a rare showdown between the accomplished programs in multiple relay races at the Texas Relays in late March. The St. Thomas Aquinas girls were much further along in their outdoor season and proved to be the sharper squad winning 2 of the 3 head to head races in the 4x4x400 and 4x200 (with a national record time) in Austin, Texas. The Long Beach Poly relays ultimately got faster at season's end with their season finishing a full month later in California to take over the national leaderboard in the 4x400 and 4x100 meter relays.

The following 8 relays each in the 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 meter relays have been selected to the MileSplit All-American Team from the 2014 outdoor season as they have been chosen by MileSplit as the 8 best national performers in their relay events from this past spring.
