First New Jersey Middle School Cross Country Championships Announced

On October 26th 2013 at the Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari in Jackson, NJ the first ever New Jersey Middle School Cross Country Championships will be held as a end of season wrap up. This event is being put together by Exclamation Services which is run by past NJ High School State Champion distance runner Andy Martin. This is a great move forward for NJ middle school running and is sure to be a great experience and opportunity for the young athletes racing for a championship. Not only will the course be exciting, or the feel of championship racing be in the air, but professional athletes from the NJ*NY Track Club will be there for the young athletes to meet and sign autographs. There will be eight races for athletes:
10:00am - 3rd/4th grade girls - 2000m
10:20am - 3rd/4th grade boys - 2000m
10:40am - 5th/6th grade boys - 3000m
11:00am - 5th/6th grade girls - 3000m

11:20am - Middle School JV (7th/8th grade) girls  - 3000m
11:40am - Middle School JV (7th/8th grade) boys  - 3000m
12:00am - Middle School Championship (7th/8th grade) girls  - 3000m
12:20am - Middle School Championship (7th/8th grade) boys  - 3000m
 
12:45am - Awards
 
**6th grade athletes are eligible to compete in the championship division on a team. Athletes who are not on a school team are eligible to compete in the meet as unattached individuals.
 
**Discounted park admission tickets will be available for competitors, coaches, parents, and siblings. The special ticket price will be $26.99 which is a 65% savings off the on-site ticket price.
