The 50th running of the Woodbury Relays took place this past weekend and the meet saw eight state leading performances, four boys and four girls.
State Leading Marks
Willingboro's winning boys 4x100m time of 42.70 shot up to NJ No. 1 featuring the legs of Foster, Gayle, Scott, and Murry.
Terron Murray of Camden HS tied the state lead in the high jump clearing 6-6, he matches Piscataway's Brian Butler who jumped 6-6 in week 1 at the Metuchen Relays.
Ryan Merlino of Oakcrest extended his state lead in the pole vault with a 15-4 clearance to win.
Aiden Williams of Audubon won the 3K steeple with a time of 9:34.08, and while not commonly competed is a NJ No. 1
The girls state leaders saw two in the field events. Zoe Goldberg of Eastern Regional won the javelin with a mark of 144-6, NJ No. 1 and US No. 21. Ma'Syiah Brawner of Winslow Township cleared 18-10.75 (NWI) in the long jump for the state lead as well.
The Eastern Regional girls also saw their Sprint Medley victory, clocked at 4:08.70, earn NJ No. 1 status and is US No .9. The Winslow Township girls won their division as well with a NJ No. 2 US No. 10 time of 4:09.10.
Melina Johnston of Robbinsville won the 3K Steeple invite with a time of 11:00.67.
More Highlights
Jonathan Harris of Delsea led a strong shot put field with a NJ No. 3 mark of 60-9.5. Shawn Brady of Bishop Eustace Prep, 58-2, moved up to NJ No. 6 and Anthony Liakhnovich of Hammonton was third at 57-4.
The Woodbury boys led all Sprint Medleys at their home meet with a 3:34.53 to rank NJ No. 4. Pleasantville NJ No. 5 with their own division win at 3:35.71.
The Timber Creek girls clocked a 1:04.68 for NJ No. 5 in the shuttle hurdle relay leading Winslow Township, 1:05.01, NJ No. 6, head to head. And Washington Township who won their own division with a 1:05.49 NJ No. 8.
The Winslow Township girls led all 4x400s with a time of 3:51.53 good for NJ No. 2, Timber Creek NJ No. 3 from this meet at 3:54.01.
Five of the top seven 4x200m girls times this season came from Woodbury Relays as well led by Timber Creek at 1:40.10 for NJ No. 2.
