NJRunners will be on site at both venues today and tomorrow to bring you reports, pictures and more as the NJSIAA Group Championships move New Jersey's T&F elite one step closer to the Meet of Champions. Girls Non-Public A

Lindsey Bellaran of Red Bank Catholic made a move past Magan McMullin,who went out hard in 63 seconds, with 200 to go to win in 2:12.  Red bank Catholic went 1,2.

Girls Group 1

Johanna Goergen of Kinnelon won in a time of 2:16.

Girls Group 4

katherine Vodopia of Hunterdon Central lead for 650 but finished second to Olivia Baker ofColumbia. Baker finished in a winning time of 2:12.18, her second 400 was covered in about 64 seconds.

Boys Non-Public  A

Allen Eke of Union Catholic winner of the 1600 yesterday won in a new meet record of 1:51.68

Boys Group 1

Jaymes Dennison of Penn Grove flew down the final straight away past New Providence, who had lead from the start otherwise.

Dennisons winning time was 1:54.28

Boys Group 4

Jared Mason of West Orange held on for second place in 1:51.xx, after 52 second first 400, but was no match for West Wind-Plain South senior Aj Chavez who won inan all group meet record of 1:50.59.

In a dual meet battle with 3 runners from both CBA and Don Bosco, Billy Bragg of CBA won in 9:17.  Bragg beat the pack of 6, which was lead by the 3 Don Bosco till 400 to go, with a 62 second last 400.

Girls 100m High Hurdles Finals

Morgan McLaughlin of Union Catholic won in 14.78 seconds.

Group 1

Gifty Amankwah of Newark Tech Won in 14.82 seconds.

Group 4

Morgan Harvey of North Hunterdon won by .01 seconds over Patrycja Dziekonska of West Wind-Plain North in 14.38seconds.

Boys 110m High Hurdles Finals

Non-Public A

Union Catholic's Zach Ghizzone 14.99 seconds.

Group 1

Deron Jennings of Newark tech won by a good margin, with a time of 15.10 seconds.

Group 4

Jermaine Collier of Trenton Central Blew the field away with a winning time of 14.05 seconds into a headwind.

Girls Group 1

Colette Ritcher winner of the 1600 yesterday leads with 4 laps to go, a 5:21 for the first 1600. Ritcher finished strong with a time of 10:45.17 to break the 30 year old group record.

Boys Group 1

Stephen Lewandowski of Mountain Lakes won running away from the field in 9:22 to move Mountain Lakes to first in the team scoring.

Devin Smith of Pope John won in 25.31 seconds.

Team scores: Pope John in first followed by Red Bank Catholic

Shenique Frett of Weequahic won in 25.30 seconds.

Team scores Essex Tech in 1st, MountainLakes in 2nd and Schalick in 3rd.

Girls Group 4

Olivia Baker of Columbia won in 24.60 seconds to help put Columbia in first place.

Jabrill Peppers of Paramus Catholic won in anime of 22.10 seconds.

Tevin Knight from Jonathan Deyton in 22.39 seconds.

Jermaine Collier wins again in 21.92 seconds.

Girls Group 4

A big group came through the 1600 in 5:17. The group thinned out as the pace picked up with only Megan lacy of Cherokee, Dina Iacone of Washington twp and Caroline Kellner of West Wind-Plain South.  Lacy closed with 5:07 last 1600 to win in 10:24 a new Group record.

Boys Group 4

Jon Harper of Phillipsburg won in 9:11.

4x400 Relays

Girls Non-Public A

Pope John Won 3:53.34, which is a new group record.

Girls Group 1

Newark Tech Won with a strong finish of 56 seconds for the anchor leg 3:58.20.

Boy Non-Public A

Allen Eke put Union Catholic in the lead after his hand off with a 48.1 but CBA's anchor leg split a 48.7 to pass Union Catholic in the final steps. CBA's winning time 3:18.35 broke the meet group record.

Boys Group 1

Metuchen won in 3:22.95 with Woodburry in second.

Girls Group 4

Millville wins the first heat in 3:57.

In the fast heat Olivia Baker of Columbia came from way behind with a 53 seconds 400m split to win it for Columbia.

Columbia's  winning time was 3:51.04.

Boys Group 4

Trenton Central put a gap on the field with a 48.x first leg,they maintained the gap till the final leg when a strong surging Alex Reber of Cherry Hill East came up on the shoulder of Trenton's anchor, but Reber's 47.8 was not enough Trenton Central won in a time of 3:15.94.

The day started off cool and cloudy with some breaks of sunshine but it cooled off more as the meet contuined due to increasing winds.

Meghan McMullin of Red Bank Catholic wins over Maddie Hummell of Holly Cross with a time of 1:03.10.

Nichole Chandelaria of Newark Tech won by a wide margin in 1:02.20.

Evann Thompson of Lenape wins in 1:02.29.

Matt Rodio of CBA win in a time of 55.40 seconds.

Sam Maniglia of Penns Grove edged Chris Crawford of Dunellen at the line.

Alex Reber of Cherry Hill East looked to be in the lead but he got tripped up on the final turn.

Bridget Flynn of Holy Spirit won in 5:02.67.

In an exciting finish Allen Eke of Union Catholic took the lead with 250m to go. He was able to hold off strong surges by George Kelly and Tim Gorman, both of CBA. In the team standings CBA is in first after scoring big points in the 1600 and winning the 400h. Eke winning time was 4:13.37

The weather remains cool and cloudy with a breeze.

Colette Richter of Mountain Lakes strung the field out early, winning in 5:08.

Boys Group 1

Stephen Lewandowski of Mountain Lakes went for the group record from the start with a 62 second first 400 but came up a little short with a winning time of 4:13.

Alexis Harrison of MSGR Donovan won.

Girls Group 4

A single champion could not be crowned the finish was so tight.

Kaitlyn Davis of NorthBrunswick and Annie Johnson were both winners in 12.02 seconds.
