Any thought that CBA might be vulnerable was put to rest on Saturday as the Colts took total command and won the Ecumenical "A" championship, with a miniscule 18 points, over a very good Don Bosco squad that keeps its #2 ranking. #3 Westfield breaks last week rankings tie by taking the measure of WW-P So in the Gr. 4 race leaving the Pirates in the #4 spot. Mendham, the Gr. 3 champion leaps to the #5 spot from being unranked. Mendham posted a 17:00 avg, running its 3rd high profile race in 7 days.
The 7-10 spots in the Top Ten are taken by 3 teams who were unranked coming into Saturday. Holmdel at #7 won the Gr. 2 title over a pretty packed field that saw silver and gold decided by the tie breaker. Pope John XIII takes the 9th spot on their Bronze medal performance in the Ecumenical "A" race. The winner of the Gr. 2 tie breaker, Wallkill Valley closes out the Top Ten.
