The top six teams remain in their same slots this week as the young season continued with more class mecrownets, which we created "merged" results for. CBA ran an average of 16:32 with a scant 17 second 1-5 gap using a 2nd unit at the Battle @ Ocean County Park class meet. Too bad you can't run "B" teams at the State meets. The Colts are that good . Westfield continues to run well with a balanced attack led by  the duo of John Kirna and Jack Leahy . Their 16:47 average at Warinanco bettered a pretty good (#7) Ridge squad by 18 seconds. #4 Don Bosco Prep traveled over to Vanny for the Regis Invitational and took top honors behind the win by Christian Costello

New to the Top Ten this week is a solid North Hunterdon team that really impressed at the Bernie Magee meet with a 3rd place in the merge. They debut at #9 this week.

Sleeper Alert - Holmdel HS with Travis Fodor recording the top time of the day at the Batlle @ OCP, took second place with 59 points, putting their 5 in the top 25. Well coached, they will be a player in Group 2 come November

As with the boys, the big guns were fairly quiet this week as neither #1 Voorhees nor #2 Hillsborough saw action. There was also very little movement in the rest of the Top Ten. The Lady Maroons of Ridgewood went out to Penn State and got second at the Harry Groves meet and move up 3 spots from #8 to #5. Frosh Catherine Pagano, Ridgewoods top scorer on Saturday appears to be the real deal. Last, but certainly not least, Summit leaps to the #10 slot on the strength of a win in the merged results at Bernie Magee.

Sleeper Alert - Middletown South, on paper, had the top Group 3 coming back for 2011. A win on merged results from the Battle @ OCP may have them on the road towards the crown
