On Friday night Victoria Vanriele of Governor Livingston ran 2:10.27 to break not only the overall All-Group Sectional meet record but the Bubble venue record as well. The defending 800 meter state champ now ranks US#2 in 2018, she is only in her sophomore season.
The record she broke? That would be New Jersey mid-distance great Ajee' Wilson's time of 2:10.45. The performance she won the 2009 Meet of Champions with as a freshman at Neptune.
Vanriele has another big race ahead of her this weekend as she'll be competing in the mile at the Millrose Games.
