Seth Kricheff Vaults 15-00!
On Wednesday night, during the Bergen County Relay Championships at the Armory in New York, Seth Kricheff of Northern Valley Old Tappan cleared 15-00, a big time career best.
He is the first from New Jersey to clear that height indoors in four years, the leader that 2014 season was another Old Tappan athlete Luke Annichiarico who now competes for Wake Forest University. The last time this happened outdoors was in 2015 when Matthew Isaacson of Matawan won the Meet of Champions at 15-06.
Boys State Pole Vault Rankings
For Seth Kircheff this was a two inch PR from his previous 14-08 vault to win the Millrose Games Trials two weeks ago. He is the returning NJSIAA Meet of Champions winner from last indoors and placed fourth during the outdoor NJSIAA competition.
The Old Tappan boys hold the top two spots in the New Jersey rankings so far this season. Kricheff's teammate and fellow senior Tyler Hrbek is NJ#2 at 14-08, also cleared at the Millrose Trials. Hrbek cleared 14-00 Wednesday night at the Bergen meet.
Jenna Rogers Clears 5-10 in the High Jump for the Second Time This Season
Sophomore sensation Jenna Rogers of Rutherford cleared 5-10 for the second time this indoor season. She first did so opening night back on December 16th moving up to third all-time for New Jersey indoors. She has a best of 6-00.75 outdoors, the state record, and will be competing with Olympic level competition at the Millrose Games in February. Read more here >>>
