Congratulations to Pickerington Central's Matt Scrape on confirming his decision to compete for Syracuse University next year! Scrape originally released the news via his own Twitter account earlier today and he indicated to MileSplit Ohio how excited he is about this upcoming opportunity.
Matt Scrape has put together an impressive senior cross country season to date, as he's collected three wins and two 2nd place finishes in his five race starts. Scrape boasts a season's best time of 15:12.70 and a high school PR of 15:07.00. He's currently ranked 5th in Ohio for XC and he holds track PR's of 4:17.22 and 9:00.87 in the 1600m and 3200m events.
Matt Scrape will add depth to a Syracuse Orange squad that is consistently among the best in the ACC and the nation.
