Bennett Complex 'Bubble' Track Resurfaced!

The facility that has hosted countless state track and field meets since 2007 has received some appreciated refurbishment. The next time you step foot in the John Bennett Indoor Complex, commonly known as the Toms River Bubble, you will be greeted by a brand new track surface.

The new track was just finished Tuesday and the lines will set next week, according to NJSIAA Track and Field Director Bill Bruno. This is not only great news for the athletes but the NJSIAA which has a contract to host state championship events at the location for the next three years through 2020.

To this point, other than some patch work at the start line, competition had been held on the same surface originally laid down in 2006. Could we see some long standing facility records go down these next few years?

More information to come..
