Thursday night championship belts were on the line at Holmdel Twilight's Royal Rumble. The boys 1600 meter state rankings were basically re-written with six new top ten times and three boys under 4:16 NJ#1 through NJ#3.
Chris Romero did some major work all alone crossing the line at 4:10.11 NJ#1 US#13 for a personal and meet record. Now the fastest all-time in the series for the 1600 meter to go along with his third all-time 3200 meter win earlier in May at 9:04.59.
