New Jersey rocked the Eastern States Championships as usual with 23 total gold medals! Including 13 girls victories and 10 boys. Below we have a girls and boys leaderboard with the best New Jersey performances in each event from the meet on Tuesday.

We'll start with new state leading performances from this meet. East Orange's Cory Poole had a huge PR during his win in the 400 meter dash, running a sub-48 for the first time in his career, now ranked NJ#1 US#5 at 47.82. He is the first to do so since Taylor McLaughlin ran 46.80 at New Balance Nationals in 2015. 

In the 4x800 meter Old Bridge ran to a NJ#1 US#3 time of 7:49.96, Rey Rivera split a toasty 1:50.27 on the anchor. In the triple jump Dodley Thermitus of Elizabeth leapt to 49-5.25 NJ#1 US#6Harmodio Cruz of South Brunswick won the 200 meter dash with a 21.80 NJ#1

Let's continue down the list with our New Jersey winners at this meet. Marvin Morgan of Neptune, fresh off his Meet of Champions victory of 6.48, won the 55 meter dash running 6.43. Joey DeFeo of Delbarton School ran a PR of 4:20.14 in the mile run NJ#7 for the win. 

In addition to Old Bridge's 4x800 we had two more victories in the relays, Rancocas Valley ran 1:29.29 NJ#2 US#8 in the 4x200 meter and Princeton was first in the DMR running 10:19.73 NJ#2 US#3. In the field we also saw winners in the high jump and shot put thanks to JFK Patterson's Jason Thobourne who cleared 6-08 NJ#2 and Rahway's Jordan West who threw 63-10.5. 

Other NJ meet leaders include.. Billy Hill of Franklin Twp who placed second in the 800 meter running 1:55.31 NJ#4.. Akeem Lindo of East Orange Campus second in the 55 hurdles at 7.36 NJ#2 US#4.. St. Benedict's Prep second in the 4x400 meter 3:23.44 NJ#3.. Seth Kricheff of Old Tappan fifth in the pole vault clearing 14-06 tying his own NJ#1.. Nick Falk of Cherokee second in the two mile running 9:30.26.. and Keon Grady of Delsea who jumped to 22-07.25 NJ#3 in the long jump.
