SJTCA Meet Series | Recent Highlights and Rankings

Here is the series leaderboard for SJTCA Meet Series through Meet #7, January 12th. Both the boys and girls are listed below, if you click the event names they will take you to the full rankings just for this series. The 12 meet schedule runs through February 7th and can be found on our calendar. 

The meet series account for three state leading performances, one came at a recent meet. 

Recent Meet Highlights

January 9th - Meet #6 - Full Results

Sarah Pierce of Cherry Hill East ran a state leading time in the 3200m, NJ#3 when including converted two miles, with a 11:16.13. Only a sophomore, that was actually her first recorded time in that event on MileSplit.

In the sprints the 55 meter dashes were flying as Aliyah Taylor of Rancocas Valley posted a 7.24 NJ#2 in the girls race and Jean Paul Roanne from Timber Creek won the boys with a 6.54 NJ#3. 

Then possibly the highlight of the meet, during the 4x400 meter relay Egg Harbor Twp won running 3:26.25 NJ#2 US#9.

January 12th - Meet #7 - Full Results

This was a novice based meet but they did hold a special varsity 3200 meter. That race produced three top ten times in the state so far. First place was Nick Falk of Cherokee who crossed at 9:33.29 NJ#2 just a second ahead of Robert Abrams of Cherry Hill West 9:34.27 NJ#3, in third Michael Ungvarsky of Cinnaminson finished at 9:38.04 NJ#6. All three of those athletes coming off fantastic cross country seasons. 

For the girls Raelynne Miller, a sophomore from Millville, won with a time of 11:33.47 NJ#12. That is over a minute of improvement from her freshman indoor season.
