Transfer News | State Champion Aliyah Taylor Heading to RVR

As of September 2016 Aliyah Taylor, the state indoor champion in the 55 meter dash, has transferred from Pemberton Township HS to Rancocas Valley Regional HS and will compete during indoor and outdoor track this school year. Confirmed by Rancocas Valley Head Coach Mike Trojack Thursday morning.

Taylor, only a junior this year, won the 2016 indoor Group 2 and Meet of Champions state titles for the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.04. Her winning performance was the fastest recorded all season for the state of New Jersey and ranked US#21. That same meet she also recorded a 400 meter time of 57.29 to place third.

Her new coach Mike Trojack had this to say, "With almost our entire team returning including Sydne Nance the Woodbury Relays Female MVP, throwers Julie Foering and Danielle Steff, sprinters Jonise Ledbetter, Darynn Minus-Vincent and Marissa Francis as well as upcoming distance runners Bethany Biggi and Alana Thompson. The addition of Taylor to our team, we should be one of the top teams in South Jersey."

The rising track star has personal records of 7.04 in the 55m, 12.08 in the 100m, 25.40 in the 200m, and 55.79 in the 400 meter. She has also had success on relays.
