NJ at Penn Relays! Saturday Finale

River Dell stepped up to the challenge during the COA 4x800m.

Boys 4x800m Championship | The River Dell boys destroyed their own NJ#1 time and replaced it with a 7:46.86 to place fifth in the Championship of America! (Rob Klopf (1:58.31), Colin Daly (1:52.91), Will Daly (1:54.13), Justin Fernandez (2:01.53)).

South Brunswick placed 10th in the race running NJ#3 with a 7:58.28, Jared Fisher (2:01.01), Nicholas Neville (1:56.73), Kyle McCann (2:00.55), Ryan Budhu (2:00.01). Morris Hills was 11th with a time of 8:00.91, Ian McNally (1:56.44), Jason Schweizer (1:58.56), Alex Pai (2:00.79), John Dennehy (2:05.13).

| Sprints

Boys 4x100m Relays | Rancocas Valley improved their NJ#1 spot with a 42.35 run in the Large Schools Final on Saturday placing 6th. The boys had qualified for the Large School final by running 42.85 the day before. (JeSean Foster, Dyson Scott, Shaun Ellis-Bradley, Sterling Pierce)

Boys 4x400m Relays | In the 4x400m Union Catholic posted the fastest New Jersey time of the meet with a 3:17.57. They now rank NJ#1 thanks to the splits laid out by Jakell Henderson (51.13), Taylor McLaughlin (46.80), Anthony Dawson (50.10), Perry Christie (49.56). They were extremely close to qualifying for the Championship.

Also posting some quick times were the East Orange boys with a NJ#5 time of 3:19.60, Columbia with 3:20.24 for NJ#7 and Northern Valley Old Tappan clocking 3:20.36 NJ#8.

Title wise Lawrenceville School won the Prep 4x400m with a time of 3:28.06 - Nicholas Wey (51.62), Kyle Taylor (52.60), Michael Troup (52.07), Michael Bauman (51.79).

Girls 4x400m Relays | Lenape girls rocked a NJ#2 time of 3:49.97 in the Philadelphia Area 4x400m, placing them third. Jasmine Staten (56.63), Marissa Topolski (58.52), Shannon Storms (58.44), Carly Pettipaw (56.40)

| Hurdles

Boys 400m Hurdles Championship | Raymund Clarke of Roselle placed eighth overall with a time of 54.46, which also gives him the state lead NJ#1 spot this season. Alex Borzelin of Hamilton North was 10th with a time of 54.68.

| Jumps

Boys Pole Vault Championship | Caleb Duffany of Northern Valley Demarest was NJ's only competitor, he placed 14th with a 13-03.50 clearance good for NJ#3 this season.

Boys High Jump Championship | Ameer Banks of Delsea Regional earned a fourth place finish with aNJ#2 6-08 bar, tying his best career outdoor height (cleared 6-10 this past indoor). Devin Bradham of Williamstown took eighth with a height of 6-06.75.

Boys Triple Jump Championship | Eric Bethea of Piscataway placed 10th with a jump of 45-09.50,Dean Uduh of Columbia right there as well in 11th with the same mark of 45-09.50, now ranking himNJ#5. Bethea already ranks NJ#3 with a 45-10.75 measurement at the Metuchen Relays back on April 4th.
