9-15 Weekend Highlights

Suffern Invitational
Suffern boys win first invitational in 8 years. Suffern's Shelby Greany leads mates to win. Tappan Zee's Emma Miller Bedell makes XC debut with strong 18:05 effort. Miller Bedell ran 2:08 last spring in the 800m. Cornwall boys and Shaker boys also win team titles as do the Warwick Vallet girls, led by Lillian Greibesland.

Chittenango Invitational:
FM girls look good, then get DQ'd for late stride outs at the line.

Bronxville girls lose to Monsignor Donovan, NJ. Ursuline's Megan Brown runs well.

Somers Big Red Invitational
Arlington sweeps boys and girls DI titles. Somers boys run away with DI title.

Monsignor Farrell, NY over Monsignor Donovan, NJ for the win. B. Riley from South Side wins in 13:04 on VCP's 2.5 classic.

PSAL Group Run #1
Stuyvesant over MSIT for the boys title while HS of Health Professional wins girls crown.

Guilderland Invitational
Burnt Hills and Ichabod Crane win boys titles. Burnt Hills girls win Large Schools crown running without most of their top seven. Broadalbin Perth girls win small schools.

Blackbird Invitational
Voorheesville sweeps boys and girls team titles.

Jim Smith Invitational
Meet format runs seperate races for each grade. Giovanni Signoretti (Smithtown) has fastest time of the day in 16:41 while Bobby Andrews (Shoreham Wading River) runs strong 16:52. Elizabeth O'Brien (Horace Greeley) wins junior race in 21:14. MaryKate Anselmini (Ward Melville) wins freshman 1.5 mile race in 8:18.
